Perception.

When I was young evil was an attractive concept but I got older and now I realize there is no such thing.
Everything in life is a perception. How will you perceive?
Question your values and beliefs.
Why do you feel that way? Is it what you want? Or did someone else plant the idea?
It's fine to be influenced by others if those things resonate inside you.
I like to figure out if certain desires are actually from me.
Things that are beautiful to me may be someone else's nightmare.
It doesn't mean it's wrong or right. Even if that's what your perception is telling you.

Feminism.

I really wanted to share these quotes with you guys. I see so much sexism daily and it makes me really sad especially when coming from friends. It's really sad when my fellow women don't call them selves feminists. We need to get over the idea that feminism is a crazy idea. Being treated like an equal human isn't crazy.

Values and Ellen.

 

Ellen is one of my biggest heroes. You'll probably get an idea why from this video.

She states her values as:

"Honesty, Equality, Kindness, Compassion, Treating people the way you want to be treated, and Helping those in need."

I can't agree more I've always valued equality and honesty above all else. I hope to teach by example and pass on those values. I can't seem to understand why equality is such a foreign concept to most people. I don't care what religion, social status or political position you are I don't think that is an excuse for wanting to take away someones chance at happiness or freedom.
